Westside

The Westside is a developers and investors neighborhood. It is the home of the new and larger developments in Southie such as the new green building the Macallen Building, 152 Old Colony, and 9 West. When you drive in this area you notice there are still many homes that have not been update and so the opportunity to get value is drawing a great deal of attention. The Macallen Building changes the way architecture fuses with environment, offering modern design, high-end amenities, & ample outdoor space, located between S. Boston & the South End. This densely populated area is packed with public transportation.

Two "T" stations, Andrew and Broadway are located here. Several bus lines go around and through the West End bringing commuters to many parts of the city and South Station. Housing is dense and many streets are narrow or one-way.

There are few shops and restaurants as of yet in the West End. Housing is cheaper so young adventurous people and investors are flocking to this end of Southie. It is the last area of South Boston to receive attention and is slowly changing for the better.
